Applicants to all positions at BDG Vietnam undergo a four-stage recruitment process. However, applicants for the positions of Project Manager, Consultant, Accountant, Chief Accountant and HR Manager will have an additional fifth stage.

The first stage entails your submission of a well-structured one-page CV and a half-page motivation letter to  career@bdg-asia.com. The subject line should indicate the position you are applying for.

The second stage will see you undertake an assessment center testing your economic understanding, Microsoft Office skills and written English.

During the third stage, you will be invited to a short telephone interview. This is a chance for us to explore your background and suitability for the role.

The fourth stage consists of a face-to-face interview with our senior management either at our office in Ho Chi Minh City or over Skype. This stage is for us and you to dig deep and see if we have strong potential to work together. This will be the end of the recruitment process for applicants to positions other than Project Manager, Consultant, Accountant, Chief Accountant and HR Manager and our mutual satisfaction will result in the making of an offer.

For the fifth stage applicants will be invited to an interview with our founder.

Project Manager

The overarching goal for the Project Manager (PM) is to work closely with the Managing Partner and Managing Director to ensure the successful execution of projects.

The candidate must take on projects in her/his own responsibility upon consultation with the clients and is responsible for the successful execution.

The PM provides consultants with a structured consulting experience that leverages the consultant’s expertise and skills. The PM holds overall accountability of BDG’s consulting projects.

The PM will identify the key barriers to a projects success and manage all activities actively. The PM will edit and re-write written deliverables, reports and proposals. The position requires a responsible attitude towards managing the relationship and communication with not only internal but also external stakeholders.

  • Effectively leading the project team in order to homogenize it with the business objectives, project schedule, and project budget
  • Effectively providing assistance in solving specific inquiries by leveraging own expertise or correctly delegating to appropriate consultant

  • Developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and consultants

Senior Analyst

The overarching goal for the Senior Analyst is to independently retrieve, prepare, analyze and evaluate accurate data to support the successful execution of BDG Vietnam’s projects. For that, the candidate should autonomousely design and conduct research and create surveys, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, draw comprehensive conclusions and present results in professional PowerPoint and Excel charts and tables.

Overall, she/he should work closely with the consultants to get a holistic overview on the projects and eventually be developed into a principle analyst/consultant to run projects/project phases independently. Being in a leading position she/he should also be concerned with the advancement and training of her colleagues.

Education: Bachelor / Master in business or related fields would be preferred

Experience: More than 2 years in business / economic analysis or more than 1 year in business consultancy or research company

Senior Consultant

The overarching goal for the Consultant is to work closely with the Project Manager to support the successful execution of market entry projects in production set-up, sourcing and distribution. In that regard, she/he should also take on selected project phases in her/his own responsibility upon consultation with the Project Manager.

The Consultant should be able to gather qualitative and quantitative data and transform information/data he/she receives into conclusive reports. She/he should guide the Analysts in the data collection process and delegate tasks. Being in a leading position she/he should also be concerned with the advancement and training of her colleagues.

Accountant

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and finish reports such as:
      • Closing accounting books monthly, quarterly, yearly
      • Prepare financial statement including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow
      • General ledger, trial balances, reconciliation
      • Taxes including VAT, CIT, PIT
      • Bank account
  • Ensure the accounting records and taxes are correct and complied with statutory and governing law
  • Analyze financial statements and be in direct contact with clients
  • General support of Senior Accountant and Admin cum Accountant

Expectations

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance
  • Two or more years of experience as General Accountant; be familiar with General Ledger, Cost and Tax accounting
  • Ability to work under pressure in multicultural, diverse environment
  • Excellent verbal, written skills in English
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) along with Green Effect accounting software
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and to take initiative without direction
  • Between 24-30 years

Education: Bachelor / Master in accounting/finance or related fields would be preferred

Experience: More than 2 years’ accounting experience

Intern Marketing & Sales

Your Role:

The overarching goal for the Marketing/Sales Intern is to work closely with the Marketing and Sales Manager to support the successful execution of marketing projects (events, marketing strategy and material design) and sales projects (events, sales pitches, strategy design and execution support).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Execution of project related tasks with minimal supervision
  • Creating high quality marketing materials (Asia focused content) such as PowerPoint information slides, brochures, website content for both BDG and customers
  • Gather quantitative and qualitative date in order to generate informative content for marketing materials and to identify market potentials
  • Organize sales events such as delegation trip
  • Actively engage with future customers (cold calling, sales pitches)

Expectations and Required Skills:

  • Capability to work and think independently is a MUST
  • Advanced Skills PowerPoint, other MS Office Programs are a plus but training is available (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Skill in design programs such as InDesign is a plus
  • Excellent English (Written and Verbal)
  • Very good communication skills/social skills
  • Leadership capabilities (Leadership in university projects is a plus)
  • Reliable, precise and pro-active working style
  • Ability to deliver results under time pressure and in accordance with deadlines
  • Motivated to take on new challenges
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, outgoing and keen to contribute his/her opinion

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor (fifth semester and over) / Master in business with Asia focus
  • Performance: Amongst top 10% of students, German Grade Average: 1.5 and better or international equivalent
  • Previous work experience in any business field through internship or part-time jobs
  • Having studied abroad is a strong bonus

Salary: 300 USD/month
